TOPO
TOPO is a slightly shy interactive lamp that hides if you get too close. The conceptĀ is based on the idea of making a static object "alive". For this project, the focus of the interaction is that the lamp wants to be alone and the inspiration comes from reefs. A reef in the sea is a very vibrant and active place, but if you get too close it can quickly become much quieter. The shape of the lamp is inspired by the topography of a reef and a blue hole. TOPO has an organic shape both inside and out, it is clearer on the outside, but the electronics in the lamp is shaped and placed in same organic and natural shapes. I wanted to focus on a more handmade expression in combination with the rigid electronics. Creating a natural and organic shape both inside and out.
