OCEAN WATCH
 
Ocean Watch is a mechanical dive watch concept, made with recycled steel and a hand braided nylon bracelet created from reused and cleaned ghost nets. The goal with the watch is to raise awareness about ghost nets and help the charity organisation Healthy Seas, to continue their work with cleaning up our seas from ghost nets, which are destroying the marine ecosystem. The project is based on sustainable development and designed using the eco-design strategy wheel. The watch is a collaboration between the organizations Healthy Seas, Ghost Fishing, the company Nofir and the watchmakers Certina. 
Bracelet: Hand braided, washed nylon band from ghost net.
Clock house and work: Recycled steel with high purity
Glass: Rip-resistant, antireflex sapphire glass
Packings: Natural rubber
Colour: Super-LumiNova, Certina's standard (non-toxic), to minute indicators, indexing and estimates.
